Disney Descendants Nail Art

Are you looking forward to "Descendants" this Friday, well you aren't alone. My niece and I are already set to watch this fun, campy, ever after. To celebrate I did a little nail art to showcase the villains and their children. This week I will be working through my collection one Villain and their kid. Today I am going to do two duos, because I will run out of days if I don't.

First up, Cruella and Carlos.

I used five OPI colors: Black Onyx, Alpine Snow, In My Santa Suit, 4 In The Morning (only in Carlo's accent), and Love. Angel. Music. Baby ( again only in Carlos's accent). Let's take a look at my least favorite Disney Villain, Cruella de Vil.

The Cruella inspired nails features red nails and a white accent nail. I figured since she is a hot fashion designer she would be the go to gal when Villains needed new clothes. Therefore, I layered other patterns from the collection, alternating black and white. To mute the contrast I made a translucent red to put over top the design.

The accent nail is fairly simple and is used to demonstrate her devil pride....I mean de Vil pride. I have her name written in red with black rhinestones to add a little depth. Even though she is my least favorite villain, I would love to wear that red nail.

I have a feeling Carlos is going to be in for a rude wake up call when it comes to dogs and his mother. So on each nail I made something just not quite right. The main nail has a base of white and black. Over top I took a fan brush and added the stripes so it gave me different thicknesses with no work.

His accent nail is white based. I put this awesome check pattern (in 4 In The Morning) over it in places then took non-acetone nail polish remover to the design to leave remnants of the design. Then I took shattered glass patterns and layered that on in red, grey, and gold. It is just a small nod to the shattering of the image he has of his mom and a throwback to her deadly car crash. How did she survive that?

Stay Wicked,
Anna
