Best part about this design is my brand new bottle of Frankenpolish! I used my Frankenpolish, alpine snow, I carol about you, Suzy and the 7 dusseldorfs, gargantuan green grape, and Christmas gone plaid. I hope that is all the polishes. No, I won't share my Frankenpolish mostly because a lot of those colors cannot be found.
I am sad that I did not let this dry fully before moving it, I now have a finger print in it. Dragon flames seemed the perfect way to pay homage to the mistress of all evil. Her main nail is purple with several layers of green flames. In Disney Descendants, Maleficents index finger was her accent nail, I used a lot more colors on this one to give it a little more depth than the main nail. I cannot wait to wear this.
Mal's nail is a little softer. In this picture the purple is overlaid with a purple vine pattern with a larger green vine pattern over it. The accent is green with a purple vine pattern and green glitter. I chose vines, because it is the nicer version of a wall of thorns. I am actually sporting this manicure right now.
Sorry the lighting is poor and the photo came out a little grainy. I made a couple of changes. The accent nail also has a middle layer of vines in green. The vines in a different shade definitely add dimension when it catches the light. The biggest change I made was more glitter! I added green glitter to each of the nails. I think it would be fun to do green glitter and purple glitter in different areas. I love glitz.
The great news is my niece wants to be either Maleficent or Mal for Halloween. If she sticks to that, I will add the pictures of her nails, but we have a few months until then. Also, we now have a stray cat. I have been working with her and yesterday I got to pet her. We still let her roam wild because she has a litter of kittens...somewhere. My niece named her Maleficent, but we are supposed to call her Mal for short. Too cute.
Stay wicked,
Anna
